PUBG Mobile 4.6 update will officially release on September 9, 2026. This highly anticipated update brings the Midnight Hunters theme mode, with Bloodline Awakening faction battles, vampires, owls, bats, companions, and much more. Furthermore, in this version, you can drive an F1 racing car for free means you do not have to buy any skin because it’s free for all players and will be available in classic matches.
Military Base and Stalber will serve as the main hunter-themed hot drops. Stalber will have a red environment, while Military Base will feature a blue environment that gives it a premium feel. In addition, the developers have revamped some houses and areas with horror-themed buildings and red lighting. These areas also contain bats that will fly out as you approach them. It feels like a real one that only players with strong hearts can easily play.
PUBG 4.5 Update Release Date
The officials announced through their social media channels that the update will be released on September 9. Due to the Play Store’s staged rollouts, some devices will receive it early on 8 September, whereas on remaining devices, the official website, and iOS devices, it will be available on the announced date. Once it goes live, you can easily download the APK for your Android phone and immediately start playing it.

Top 10 Features added in v4.6
Some features will be permanently added to the game, while others will remain exclusive to the Theme Mode and expire after two months. Let’s explore all of them:
Themed Features
The name of the Theme Mode is Midnight Hunters. In this mode, there are a total of six themed areas across Erangel. Military Base and Stalber feature hunter-themed areas, while Mylta, Gatka, Quarry, and Rozhok feature vampire-themed areas with red environments and horror-style buildings.
And the best thing is that you will get auto-recall in all of these areas. So this time, it is not compulsory to land at just one main hot drop. You can land at any of these themed areas.
Let’s check out the themed items, special powers, and features added to the game.
- Twilight Bat Wings: With these wings, you can turn into a bat and fly anywhere on the map. You will get two buttons: Blink and Sonic Wave. By pressing the Blink button, you will quickly move forward with a burst of speed, while Sonic Wave reveals the positions of enemies inside houses. Furthermore, you can hang from trees until your energy runs low.
- Silver Moon Chain: You can attack enemies with the Silver Moon Chain and also use it like a katana. If an enemy is shooting at you, simply turn the chain toward them, and you won’t be hit by their bullets. Furthermore, you can use it like a web shooter. All you have to do is aim anywhere and shoot. You can use it to reach elevated areas as well. It doesn’t work over very long distances, but it can be extremely useful in close-range fights.
- Hunter Bandage: This is a faster version of the normal bandage. Unlike regular bandages, it can restore your full health, with no 75% health restriction. In addition, the new Scarlet Tonic can restore 100% of your health within seconds.
- Blood Patch: This item allows you to connect with your friend if both of you have the same item. You can use it to teleport to your friend or provide healing within a 50-meter radius.
- Window Barrier: In Theme Mode, when you get close to a window, you will see an option to Generate Barrier. This barrier acts like strong glass to protect you. Enemies cannot throw grenades or Molotov cocktails through it, but it can be broken with bullets.
In Theme Mode, even after you are eliminated, you can continue playing. You will get an option to join the Vampires and help them kill the Hunters. However, your actual kills will not count toward your stats. You can also pick up loot to recover your health.
Classic Features
- The new BRDM-2 can currently only be obtained from a very rare flare gun or redeemed from the shop for at least 100 tokens. But in the next update, you will be able to purchase it from any garage for just 50 tokens. If you are a rank pusher or are completing your promotional matches, it will be much easier for you to survive. However, for normal players, getting a Chicken Dinner could become more difficult if enemies have this vehicle.
- New light ships have been added to certain locations in the water. They can help you take fights more easily in the final circle if it ends in the water. You can use them as cover from all sides, so if you get stuck while crossing a river, simply climb onto one, take cover, and fight your enemies.
- New loot boxes have also been added to the water. They appear on the surface and contain high-level loot such as the M416, AUG, 4x Scope, and some random weapons.
- In Erangel, you will randomly find portable boats that you can keep in your backpack and use on the water. They don’t require fuel because they move by paddling. If your teammates paddle as well, the boat will move faster.
The Global version will be available from September 9, whereas BGMI is expected to be released on 15-16 September.
