On December 4, PUBG rolled out the first beta update (4.2.1). This build focuses on seeds, plants, the Scorpion weapon, and a few other new elements. You’ll also notice two major hotdrop areas in Erangel: Pochinki and Yasnaya Polyana. Players can try these features early and share feedback with the developers so they can polish the update. Below, you’ll find the download links for the PUBG Mobile 4.2 beta APK along with a simple installation guide.
Full 4.2 Beta Schedule
A few days ago, the developers posted an image on social media showing the full schedule for this beta version. It includes four phases (similar to last time), and the stable release will roll out after they’re completed. Please note that you may receive multiple updates in a single phase.

How to Download and Install the APK?
You can join the beta server through in-game invitation or download the APK from a trusted website. After that, follow the steps below to install it:
- Go to File Manager>Downloads and click on the recently downloaded game icon.
- Click on settings and allow installation from unknown sources.
- After that, scan the file with Play Protect and continue.
- Once done, launch the game, allow storage and mic permission, then download additional resources.
- Once it is finished, restart the game and log in to your account (if you already have one) or create a new one.
- At last, download the Theme mode and Maps. Enjoy
Note: New users must have at least level 10 to play the classic modes.
New Theme Mode and Features
- Introduced the new Primewood Genesis theme mode with exclusive gun, items, and teleport portal.
- Added Scorpion horn that will turn you into a dangerous green colored scorpion and gives you Borrow and Ability buttons to attack enemies.
- Added Luna Fruit Bud, a seed that you use to plant in one match, and in other games, it will be at the game place and will give you loot.
- The wine hook lock allows you to turn into a root to kill enemies.
- You can fly with colourful flying wings, see poison tree and other items.
