The official PUBG Mobile 4.3 Update Patch Notes are available now. Krafton is dropping the Evolving Universe update on March 12 at 11:00 (UTC+0). You will automatically get a themed lobby background and music track in your inventory (from 11 March at 2:00 – 10 May at 20:59). The themed gameplay will be available in Erangel, Miramar, and Livik. However, some of the features and missions will be available only in Erangel. This update also got network optimization, character class skills, and Temporal Vault gameplay. Theme Mode
Like the previous Primewoord Genesis mode, this update changes the appearance and structure of popular locations such as Pochinki, Mylta, Mansion, and Hospital instead of introducing a completely new hot drop. This time, a specific boundary clearly separates the themed area from other locations. When you enter the area, the game grants you a free recall and shows a different map.
In the Livik, Midstein, and Blomster will get the themed hotdrops. So get ready to experience a new combat in classic mode.
Character Class Skill
Every player has a different playstyle. I hope everyone will be able to create highlights based on their specialty, whether they’re a sharpshooter, master medic, scouting sentinel, stealth hunter, or vehicle expert.
Choose one of 5 passive skills: Healing, Combat, Recon, Detection, and Vehicle. Each specialization is divided into C/B/A/S ranks, starting at the C-rank. Complete match missions to upgrade and enhance skills.
Healing Skill:
- C-Rank: Use consumables faster.
- B-Rank: Use consumables much faster.
- A-Rank: Rescue teammates faster.
- S-Rank: Rescue teammates faster, and rescued teammates recover additional Health.
Combat Skill:
- C-Rank: Briefly move faster after knocking down or defeating an enemy.
- B-Rank: Move faster and longer after knocking down or defeating an enemy.
- A-Rank: Recover Health after knocking down or defeating an enemy.
- S-Rank: Recover more Health after knocking down or defeating an enemy.
Recon Skill:
- C-Rank: Hit an enemy to mark them for a period of time (visible to teammates).
- B-Rank: Hit an enemy to mark them for a longer period of time (visible to teammates).
- A-Rank: Enemies that hit you are automatically marked.
- S-Rank: Enemies that hit you are automatically marked for a longer period of time.
Detection Skill:
- C-Rank: Go prone for a while to detect nearby supplies.
- B-Rank: Go prone for a shorter duration to detect nearby supplies.
- A-Rank: Scan in a certain range to detect nearby enemies and vehicles, even while crawling.
- S-Rank: Scan in a larger range to detect nearby enemies and vehicles, even while crawling.
Vehicle Skill:
- C-Rank: Vehicles consume less fuel and take less damage.
- B-Rank: Vehicles consume less fuel, take less damage, and tires are harder to blow out.
- A-Rank: Take less fall damage when exiting a moving vehicle.
- S-Rank: Take much less fall damage when exiting a moving vehicle.
- Skill Selection: Select or change specializations outside of matches or on Spawn Island.
Energy Rank Mechanic
Everyone can become #1. Eliminations are not the only thing that matters in a match. The new mechanic allows players to progress through actions like healing, scouting, and driving, so every player’s contribution counts.
- Energy Ranks are divided into C, B, A, and S. All players start at C rank and can move up by earning Energy Points during matches.
- Players earn Energy Points by performing certain actions in the match. These points can upgrade class skills or unlock higher-rank Temporal Vaults.
- You can earn points by dealing damage, rescuing teammates, exploring urban areas, driving vehicles, and completing other activities. Exploring the map during matches can reveal even more ways to gain points.
Temporal Vault Gameplay
In this update, the developers hide elements from past versions as special surprises inside familiar buildings and interactive objects. These unexpected Temporal Vaults are designed to bring back memories from earlier seasons.
As your Energy Rank increases, you unlock different tiers of Temporal Vaults during matches. These vaults appear on the battleground as classic structures. When you reach the required rank and interact with them, the structure dissolves and reveals the hidden Temporal Vault.
- B-Rank Vault: This vault appears as a small building with dynamic visual effects. When you interact with it, the structure dissolves and reveals an exclusive 8th Anniversary crate that contains special rewards.
- A-Rank Vault: This vault sends you through time to a random classic theme from 2021 to 2024. Inside, you will see iconic objects from that version. Interacting with them triggers a unique animation and changes the interior to match that theme before revealing themed crates.
- S-Rank Vault: This vault features the classic Erangel theme. You can interact with the sandbox to predict the next Playzone location and change the weather in the area to rain. You can also interact with all the exhibits inside the vault to trigger special effects and collect extra rewards. The vault also includes an armory that provides high-quality supplies.
Anniversary Lucky Spin
Obtain Rewards: Anniversary Lucky Spins can randomly appear in A-Rank and S-Rank vaults. Interact with them for a chance to receive vouchers for items of different qualities.
Extract Rewards: You can extract vouchers from the match by meeting either of the following conditions.
Condition 1: Reach the required individual rank when the match ends.
Condition 2: Use the in-match drone to retrieve items early.
Rewards: Open a supply crate from your Inventory for a chance to receive Legendary Finishes, melee weapons, UC vouchers, and other rewards.
From March 13 to April 12, supply crates have a chance to drop the Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration finish “Aoi Todo Set & Cover.”
From April 13 to May 10, supply crates have a chance to drop the “Fire Extinguisher Machete” melee weapon finish.
Smart Network Optimization
In the 4.2 beta update, PUBG added a new feature for the first time. But unfortunately, it was not added to the stable release. But now it’s coming, you can enable it in Settings > Language & Network > Network > Smart Network Optimization. Before using this feature, please note that your phone must have dual-channel network functionality and be connected to both Wi-Fi and mobile data at the same time. If these requirements are not met, this may cause a negative impact.
And if you meet these requirements, it will intelligently switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to ensure the best connection result, significantly improving in-game network stability and reducing latency and lag, but may consume a small amount of mobile data.
FPS and Lag Improvements
The game developers improved the UI and animation logic for smoother operation. And resource loading and rendering logic are optimized to reduce stuttering during gameplay. Lobby Updates
Your smart assistant (Ray), which appeared on the right side in the lobby, now has more powers, and an AI chatbot is integrated to directly answer your questions without searching on the internet. Firmarm Updates
The update adds S12K to Livik, Mini-14 to Livik and Sanhok, and Honey Badger to Miramar, Karakin, Vikendi, Rondo, and Nusa as ground loot. It also introduces the new semi-auto M1 Garand sniper rifle, which features a bayonet for close counterattacks. When the magazine becomes empty, the rifle produces its distinctive “ping” sound.
Vehicle Updates
With the introduction of promotional matches, many players started using the BRDM-2 to survive in the next zone. However, it had several limitations. It moved slowly, enemies could easily destroy it with drop weapons, and players could not fire while sitting inside it.
To address these issues, the update replaces the BRDM-2 with a new Tracked Amphicarrier vehicle that players can obtain using a flare gun. It can travel on both land and water and can also turn in place. In addition, the vehicle features a mounted machine gun on top, allowing players to attack enemies without leaving the vehicle.
Improved Vehicle Handling: As a four-seater, the Mirado was originally a Miramar car designed for desert areas. In Erangel, many players experience stability issues, especially when they are at high speeds. He got stuck on small stone pieces, stairs, and quickly flipped, which gives a bad user experience. So now he has a greater stability and a lower chance of flipping over.
